Ratna Paramita is a family sculpture studio in Muntilan, Magelang, Central Java. Our grandfather started it out of a love for stone carving, and the family carries it on today. We make work in three ways.
Resin editions
Our resin editions are cast in resin from a handcrafted original, then painted. Two are available now:
- Buddha, seated: 15 cm, in gold or black lava-stone. Rp 350.000.
- Buddha, standing: 40 cm, in black lava-stone, light grey or gold. Rp 900.000.
Black lava-stone is a paint finish that gives the look of lava stone. The pieces themselves are resin. Each one is made to order.
Stone statues
Stone statues are coming later, in new designs that differ from the resin line.
Commissions
We also make pieces to your request, in stone, copper or gold. The simplest way to start is a message on WhatsApp.
Questions
Are the resin Buddhas carved from stone?
No. They are cast in resin from a handcrafted original. Only the black lava-stone finish imitates stone.
Do you ship outside Indonesia?
Yes. We ship worldwide from Magelang. Ask us on WhatsApp about shipping to your country.
